THE PATTERNS
The male patterns are for a jacket in size Large (40) and men’s trousers with a 36-inch waist. Info concerning the female dress will follow later. Areas where the pattern can be expanded or reduced are clearly indicated where necessary. Length adjustments can, of course, be made as needed.
Please note that these are not the computer-generated patterns commonly sold in the market. Our patterns are carefully hand-drawn and traced directly from authentic streekdracht garments. Because they are based on real traditional clothing, they reflect the character of the garments. Some aspects are simplified, like the lack of additional hand-stitched lining parts. Instead, there are partial inner parts, to which a lining can be attached if you wish to do so. Almost everything can be done with a sewing machine.
We do expect that customers purchasing our hand-drawn patterns have some sewing experience and basic pattern knowledge. While modest guidance is often provided on where to make adjustments, you should be able to determine where to make the garment tighter or wider to achieve the desired fit.
Hand-drawn patterns are available from our online store at
and will be sent to you printed on A0-sized paper.
It is also possible to obtain PDF files of the hand-drawn patterns and have them printed yourself. (Be aware that the patterns are A0 size).
This alternative option has been set up to ensure the patterns remain available in case anything happens to me or if my Etsy account for the A0 printed versions is no longer active.
THE STORE:
Below are all the patterns printed on A0 paper.
More hand-drawn patterns will be created and will be available soon.
